Easter Day!

First of all, sorry for the fourth post in 24 hours, but I just needed to get it all done! What can I say we've been busy! So Easter morning was a lot of fun, both boys had a great time with their Easter baskets, espeically Porter, and then he got to search for some eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden. Then there's some pics in their handsome Easter outfits! We're still working at getting a good picture of them both looking at us! Oh well, maybe someday soon! Happy Easter!

Easter EGGS

Porter, Brighton, and Parker and some awesome eggs!!

We had a great time dying Easter eggs with Art, Steph and the boys on Friday night! They all did a great job and had a great time! Porter especially loved to color on all the eggs before we dyed them. We know now that this is one of Porter's favorite holiday activities!

Awful-tear filled tv times

Ok, I just can't take it, it is almost midnight and everyone is alseep but I have to say something to someone. I am feeding Roni, and watching TV while he falls asleep and I have just watched one of the worst things ever in my life. I am bawling, and I hope I will be able to sleep myself tonight. So on Animal Planet, it is this documentary about two little baby polar bear cubs, and they are being followed as they grow for a while. So they get you all into this little polar bear family, then WHAMMO! So these one year old little cubs don't have much fat reserved yet, and there is not much food or shelter either. So I guess when they are hungry enough male bears will eat cubs-can you say awful!! So anyway, besides that the cubs have to find shelter they will freeze. They can walk for quite a while-but not as long as the mom when they haven't eaten in a while... So sorry for the build up but this mom that we have now become extremely attached to is trying to get her babies to safety while a male bear tracks them for hours and hours in a storm. She is looking for shelter, and sees the male bear stalking them but just tries to keep her babies moving, they have no choice but to push on and on. So then the weaker cub just gets too tired, and can't go on, and of course this is all on tape!!! I just kept thinking, do something, do something!! So I watch as the baby bear slides on his tummy for a while trying to follow mommy, slowly pushing with his feet, and then barely able to do that. He is just to weak. So mommy bear now has to decided what to do, to stay with her baby and rest, or keep moving because the male bear is closing in! So she tries to stay and rest for a while, hoping he will get better, but the storm is getting worse, and the baby gets more and more covered in snow, and is freezing to death. The mom comes over and is trying so hard to get him up, and nuzzle him, and keep him awake, then trying to revive him, by bumping him. She knows he is slipping away. you can see that she is frantically trying to save her baby. By staying there, the male bear has come so much closer and she knows she has to leave her dying baby or he will eat both cubs. So she has to run away with her other cub, but all the while turning back and "wailing" if you can call it that. So I'm dying here, it is the worst thing I have ever had to watch. I can't imagine as a mom what she was going through! So not only could she not save her baby from freezing to death, she knows that he was going to be eaten by the male bear!!AGGGHHH! I can't believe the agony:( So if this wasn't awful enough to watch, they then show the male bear feasting-I had to change it. I'm sorry, I did not sign up for such emotional tv right before bed. I just had to talk about it. It really is true what they say, when you're a mom yourself, you will feel love like you never knew existed. I can't even express the love that I have for my babies! Wow, something like this always makes me so emotional and grateful for the blessings I do have of not having had to go through anything like that! I'm just glad that the documentary decided not to name they cubs, like they sometimes do-I really could not have handled that!Anyway, that is my rant-thanks for listening.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!

A Happy Family of Fans

So March Madness is upon us, and we are head over heels in this household!! If you knew Noah before you knew his team was Kansas, and if you know us now-you know that we have all been converted!! The first time March came around when we were dating, the Jayhawks made it to the championship! Sadly, they lost that year:( but I still decided right then and there that being a Kansas fan was awesome. It's been OUR team ever since! So of course as March approaches we can hardley wait to see if this will finally be the year they win it all! we have a good feeling about this year! I was a little slow getting this post up, but we are now safely into the sweet sixteen having passed the first two rounds with flying colors! We'll keep you updated!

You know you're a mom when...

You know you're a mom when you cut yourself and desperately need a bandaid-and all you have is the tattoo style disney ones! So I'll proudly be sporting my lightning mcqueen on my little finger sunday with my pretty easter outfit! You gotta love these moments!
