I decided to do a little post mostly so that we can remember the little things, but also for all of you who don't get to see the boys very often, you can still feel like you know them a little better! So here is a list of ten little things-
1. Ronan is six months old, and still only sleeps about 45 min-2 hours max at a time usually at night, but when he does wake up he is usally smiling and silly, which makes it much harder to be upset with him, and does seem to make my job easier. He is just to darn cute! We are going to have to put our foot down though and take some serious action about this issue as soon as we get back from France in May. I'm just to lazy to fight it out right now, and then have it all screwed up from jetlag. So only a few more weeks!
2. He tends to droul out the corners of his mouth, rather than straight down from the middle of his mouth. Of course, he does do this too-but much more often it is from the sides, thus making two big wet spots on his shoulders, rather than one big one down the front of his shirt!
3. He got his first tooth on April 2, and then the other one just fully popped out yesterday the 14! So both of his bottom front teeth are in!
4. He is definately my snuggle bug, especially compared to his brother! He would be the happiest camper in the world if someone would hold him ALL THE TIME! He is a huge fan. I'm worried that this will make him a little lazy, but it is still nice to have a snuggler!
5. I call him my silly little monkey, for some reason I think his little ears and cute little round head remind me of a monkey- and he just loves to be hanging all over me:) Always attached somehow!
6. He hardly ever "screams". He doesn't ever even really "cry" as most people would think of it. He usually only "fusses"-so it like never develops into actually crying or screaming, but he can "fuss" for like 45 minutes straight when he is trying to fall asleep, so this is nice so I don't usually deal with gut wrenching and ear piercing screams, but still hard because it is that soft and subtle thing that slowly eats away at you and you think, just go to sleep silly boy!
7. He still can't roll over from his back to his tummy. He has been doing his tummy to his back for months, the doctor says this will usually happen around 6-7 months, so he's not super worried, but it seems that Roni is just lazy, he rolls to his side from his back all the time and then just stops, he doesn't seem to have any desire yet to try and roll all the way over. It is possible that he just doesn't see the need! So I'll keep you posted.
8. He has to go get shots for his six months today, he has been my sick baby with these. He definately doesn't feel good when he gets shots, whereas Porter didn't ever seem to be bothered at all! It is fun to see how they are so different in some ways.
9.He is such a snuggle bug, that when ever you get ready to put him down, if he is not ready he does this cute panting (kind of like a little dog) that says "don't you do it, or I will start fussing!" If he is ready to be put down he never does that, so it is amazing to me how he has figured out his little communication skills, and has trained us on them.
10.He is a hand chewer! He won't take a binky, no matter how hard we try- and he doesn't suck on his thumb or fingers either. But he is a chewer, on his whole hands. He puts his hands in fists and brings them both up to his mouth and just kind of chomps and chomps. It is my favorite!
