So our awesome little Ronan is SEVEN!
and, he LOVES trains.
SO....
we of course had to celebrate Japanese style, with a
Bullet Train Birthday!
(Shinkansen in Japanese)
The Japanese do a lot of things right, but one of them is their trains. They love their trains here, and respect and use them to a whole different level than anywhere else we have ever been.
Trains are serious business in Japan.
I decided on a Shinkansen Cake and it turned out really great!
A very happy Birthday Boy!
They are not just serious about their real trains, but their toy trains too! No joke, the Toys 'R Us here is pretty much a giant toy train store. Forget about finding any Playmobils, but at least half of the store has every kind of train you can imagine! So, we knew early on that we would be needing to get a good set for a souvenir. Ronan's birthday was the perfect opportunity to load up!
He was basically over the moon about them all.
Definitely a birthday WIN this year!
Definitely a birthday WIN this year!
Daddy helped set it all up, and all the boys played all night long!
and the next day, and the next day, and the next....
oh wait, we now pretty much have a permanent blue track snaking through the upstairs, at all times. At least I don't have to complain about buying toys they never play with!
This was also a little treat that I just had to buy for him. When I saw this toy 7-Eleven, I just couldn't resist. A true favorite of our time in Japan! Our lives will never be the same, once we learned the true beauty of a well-run 7-Eleven! Way to go Japan!
More play time- a family shot
the final product. it. was. awesome.
Happy Birthday Roni!
Thank you for bringing so much adventure to our lives! We love you so much!
