Porter and Ronan-How will it end?

So as many of you know, Porter has had his ups and downs since we made our new addition to the family. Porter has slowly becoming much more fond of Ronan, and even seems to really like him most of the time now, except when it comes to sharing his toys. I have been waiting for this day to arrive- and it did with full force today. Roni can finally really go get a toy that he wants and hold on tight when Porter wants it back. So today, when Ronan picked up a train that Porter wanted, the fighting broke out. I finally had to sit Porty down and give him a good talk to let him know that I was serious. It went as follows "Porter, whether you like it or not, you DO have a little brother- and you WILL have to start sharing your toys with him. Ronan needs toys to play with just as much as you. If you can't start sharing your toys with Ronan I'm going to take 'em away for a long time!" Porter's eyes lit up and he said excitedly " ya, take him away!" I instantly realized my mistake and clarified, "No I am not going to take Ronan away, I am going to take your toys away! and then you can't play with them at all!" He then started to understand and we've been working on it since, but I just wanted to mark that one down for myself! I can't wait to see how they are when they grow up, hopefully the greatest of friends:) We just have a ways to go still!

Were you able to keep a straight face? I would have started laughing if Ellie said something like that to me. Sometimes even when you are trying to be very serious and teach them a lesson they still manage to surprise you. Too funny - at least I think it was funny.

Oh my word! I read this a couple of days ago, and it is still making me laugh. You have such cute boys! I'm moving down to Provo on Thursday, and your Mom invited me to the Garden Party so I will see you then! Luv ya!
