(Rumeli Hisari-"Fortress of Europe" Castle Ramparts)
Ever have one of those moments where you say to yourself, "Seriously? Are we really getting to do this right now? How did we get so lucky?!" Well, this weekend Noah and I had one of those times. We have, essentially, the most rockin neighbors and friends on the planet; who graciously invited us to come along on our very first Bosphorus Cruise! The boat was so beautiful, the food was amazing, the weather was perfect, and the company was fantastic! The best part of it all though, was seeing this amazing city from the water. We went on an evening cruise, and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. We cruised by amazing sight after sight, with thousands of years (no offense America) but yes, THOUSANDS of years of history!! We were definitely left wondering to ourselves, "can you believe we are getting this opportunity right now?" Maybe after we've done it a few times I won't be so awestruck, but it was so hard not to be. It was just one of those perfect evenings. Aside from a brief taxi ride through the Old City (on which the driver was just taking us the extra long way to get home, so definitely not intentional) this was the very first time we have seen most of these sites! We will be getting much more up close and personal with all of them here in the near future, but for now it was exactly what we wanted.
Hagia Sophia (I think)
Suleymaniye Mosque and Grand Bazaar
Rumeli Hisari- we will be taking the boys here soon-but watching them VERY closely. Not too many guardrails we hear!

just a beautiful little palace-nothing super special-but gorgeous
The Topkapi Palace
Dolmabache Palace
Here we are on the front of the boat-tackling some pretty decent waves and sporting the fabulous "windblown" hairstyles!

The FSM Bridge
We had a terrific time, and are dying to do it again soon! Thanks again C&B!! Here is one new must do for visitors....we're ready and waiting!

Oh, how awesome! I wanna come!
Yes, I think that was Hagia Sophia, you were right. I of course have never actually been there, but it looks like it did in the pictures we studied. That was on my list of things to see before I died, did you know that? So if you see it before I come, you will have to go back.:)
Wow, you guys have the most fun!
what an adventure... and it's so wonderful to be on it with your best friend!!!
AMAZING!!!!! Glad you're doing so much fun exploring:)

It makes me want to jump on a plane and come visit right now. You guys are so lucky to be able to do all this and your boys will have quite the life experiences. Your place looks amazing! - so much space. We love you guys and miss you. Can't wait to read more of what's to come.
Looks like you guys are having fun. The time difference has been a problem, but we'll get it down. Miss you guys...
