If 8 is Great, then 9 is Divine!

We recently celebrated our Ninth Wedding Anniversary! When I put it in writing, it seems pretty crazy to me. What is more crazy though, is that means that next year will be 10! Aack! We'll cross that bridge when we get there I suppose though. For now I'll just focus on the past nine amazing years we have spent together. I still feel like we are newlyweds! Obviously that's not the case, but still. As long as we feel young at heart, huh! We have done and experienced so much together, and I am so grateful for every second that I have gotten to enjoy with this man! I love you Noah!

Our Anniversary itself landed in the middle of the week, so Noah made me a delicious Steak dinner, (complete with my favorite sour cream mashed potatoes-that man is a Wiz with a potato I tell you!) and we finally enjoyed the bottle of Martinelli's that we have been saving for a LONG time! The boys thought it was cute that we had a little romantic dinner, we made them a separate meal and ate after them. I also think it's very important for them to see how to treat a lady, and Noah does a great job. I'm glad that they have him for a good example!
Here he is cuing up the playlist on the computer I made. I figured it had been a while since I made him a "mix tape"! I used a couple of songs from each year that we have been married, and made him guess! He of course did great, he's a pro at that stuff; but it was fun nonetheless.

Then that weekend we did the big celebration by going to brunch at the Four Season's Bosphorus! Their Aqua Restaurant has a terrific view and amazing service. It is a gorgeous hotel, and it is always fun to spend an hour or two pretending you are rich and famous! The buffet was absolutely delicious -including real Pork bacon, and the best French pastries we have found in Istanbul! yummmmm. Definitely not something we will do everyday, but I'm so glad we did it once and enjoyed it for something special!

Loved their lobby flower arrangements. It's almost tulip festival time…..
I. Can't. Wait.
Having a March anniversary, you never know what kind of weather you are going to get. But, even though it was a bit of an overcast day the views of the water were still as beautiful as ever! We took a quick stroll around the grounds after we ate, and snapped a few shots. If you look closely you can see the Hagia Sophia and the Maiden's Tower behind us.
It was a lovely anniversary, and I'm thrilled to pack nine wonderful years under our belt! Happy Anniversary Sweetie! I love you more every day!
