Istanbul Tulip Festival 2012
If you are ever lucky enough to be in Istanbul in the second half of April-then you will be in for an amazing treat! The Istanbul Tulip Festival is amazing! They supposedly plant over 3 million bulbs throughout the city! Tulips are my all time favorite flower. I am in absolute heaven. Emirgan Park is the most famous venue to view the tulips, and it does not disappoint! I can firmly say that Emirgan Park during the tulip festival is one of the most beautiful places I've seen on Earth. Stunning. To have a day as a family to enjoy it makes my heart SOO happy.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy.
Even Miles had a fantastic time!
The Turkish Evil Eye in tulips
The outline of the country, in the style of the flag in tulips.
Awesome.
Ronan and Porter being funny-
but doing so in front of the "classic" Turkish style red tulip.
There are these type of tulips in tons of art, tiles, posters etc. here.
I love these ones just starting to bloom
Overlooking the Bosphorus.
If you look closely you can see the bridge.
Asia is across the water.
This is one of my favorite spots in the park!
I feel so lucky to have gotten to enjoy Istanbul in all it's tulip glory!
Truly something I will always remember.
Welcome spring!

I could look at your tulip flowers all day. I wish we could have timed one of our trips to be there while they were in bloom. Oh well. See you soon. Good luck with packing up and shipping out.
Beautiful!
